An honest look at history shows that to know the future, we must look at the past and present. If the present is the same as the past, which is how I see it, then the future can only be the same.
I find that we, most humans, remain as savages. Example: We glorify the birth of a nation, but we say nothing much about the genocide and slavery that was part of it.
All of our holy cows such as the so-called free market, usery, racism, empire building and our economic system and our over-the-top militarism is how we got in this terrible fix and yet, all we hear about is more of it, especially by the Right.
Much of it is shear stupidity because we are asking to do things against our best interest. The interests of the 1 or 2% is not in our best interest. Wars and unrest work good for them.
We must have a better way of thinking together about trully new ways for humanity to move forward because the present course takes us to complete self destruction. We can't look to leaders and the TV and print media. They are not geared for the flat out truth. We have to do it one person at a time on these forums, .... as long a THEY will let us.
